Pre-painting - Videos 1 through 4

Hello and WELCOME!!!!!

So glad you are here with me to create!

Lately, I have made a few adjustments in my art and teaching time. I want to share why with you as you may be going through a similar phase in your life.

Recently I actually discovered a term that gives me a definition of 'myself'- it may sound like your definition as well!

Here is the term: I am a Maker!

I seem to have to absolutely use my hands in someway- by painting, sketching, and collage to name a few, to satisfy and complete who I am internally.

Fortunately, for my family, another way for me to me a maker is cooking! LOL

But to fulfill my artist needs I have developed a wonderful pastime of working in sketchbooks. It's almost my daily go to and for certain my newest passion as a maker.

You too may benefit by embracing a "sketchbook practice". It's absolutely FABULOUS FUN and allows for creativity no matter how much time you have available.

Why Sketchbooks?

Why sketchbooks? Well in all honesty because life seems to not have enough hours in a day to do what is needed and allow time for oneself for a creative hobby like art!

Personally, I have found as we increase in years, surprisingly enough, we have less time- and our free time to do art can easily decrease. Which made me think long and hard and realize for some of you your creative passions may have already dwindled to non existent! You may be are pulled in so many other directions such as work outside the home, children, carpooling, errands, housework, laundry, being a caretaker of an elderly family member and other important priorities- like grandchildren!

If you find it a challenge to meet your creative needs I believe sketchbooks can be the answer for you.

This course was developed primary to introduce you to just one way to begin to use a sketchbook.

If you would like to see if you are a candidate that may enjoy developing a sketchbook practice I can help you with a few fun ways to experiment and discover if this is worthy of your time.

To begin simply look around your home and gather a few favorite nick-knacks or kitchen gadgets or any item you would consider drawing or painting in your sketchbook. to collage nto your paintings!
